JG Hertzler

J.G. Hertzler is best-known for playing the Chancellor Martok on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He has appeared as a record-setting ten different characters which is an honor only he can claim.

J.G has made guest appearances in various television shows such as HBO’s Six Feet Under, Roswell, Charmed, Quantum Leap, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Highlander: The Series, and appeared in the series Zorro (1991–1993) as Alcalde Ignacio De Soto.

Hertzler has voiced avatars such as the “Dr. Grossman” splicer model in BioShock and Deathstroke and Ares in Injustice: Gods Among Us.   Hertzler narrated the audio book entitled Barsk: The Elephant Graveyard, and the sequel, The Moons of Barsk released August 8 of this year.

On June 8, 2017, Hertzler announced his candidacy as a U.S. House Representative for New York’s 23rd congressional district in the 2018 elections (against incumbent Tom Reed (R). On July 24, 2018, Hertzler announced he did not obtain the requisite 3,500 signatures to have his name appear on the ballot in NY’s general election on November 6, 2018 and officially suspended his campaign.

Currently, J.G. and his long-time partner, Michelle Couwenhoven, a Constitutional Law and Civil rights attorney and law professor, live in Trumansburg, NY devoting themselves to various social and environmental causes.
